Error messages
Error messages can be scary. Make errors visible to merchants, easy to understand, and helpful. Error messages should:
- Inform users of the issue and any solutions.
- Position information near the problem source.
- Communicate severity using the appropriate color and tone of voice.
- Use brief, plain and clear language.
- Be specific. For example, use precise numbers and dates.
